Executive team

Anubha Sharma

Founder & CEO

Role: Learning center and other tie-ups, organization development, administration, fund raising, communication

Anubha is an ex-financial services professional, having spent almost 20 years with large financial institutions like Kotak Securities and Reliance Money. She has played significant roles, with the last 10 years in senior positions, in regional and national level roles. She has chosen to quit a flourishing career to walk a path that she believes will lead to better lives for many.

Beenaa Advani

Co-Founder

Role: Educational inputs, teacher training, teacher sourcing, logistics, project development and management

A proficient businesswoman and educationist, Beenaa ran franchises for Euro Kids in Bandra and Santacruz for over 10 years. She readily joined hands with Anubha with a shared dream – eventually, closing the Euro Kids franchise and joining the Angel Xpress team in an executive capacity.

Role: Recruiting,monitory and volunteer support, curriculum design and methodology, and policy framing for centres

Aparna has an LLM in International Human Rights Law (Univ of Hong Kong), and Masters in Economics (University of Hyderabad). She has specialized and worked in Disaster Management, poverty reduction, sustainable environments, development planning, and community empowerment. In the past, Aparna has worked with UNDP and international think-tanks such as ODI. She freelances and volunteers with Angel Xpress with all the time she can spare.

Role: Volunteer teaching, policy framing and donation-management

A housewife and a globetrotting grandmother, Manju Gupta found herself fascinated with the idea of teaching Math at a later stage is life. She is a staunch supporter; a regular Math teacher, a recruiter who has added volunteers and a generous donor as well. Manju is an MA Graduate with a major in psychology, and has worked as a teacher in the past.

Role: Volunteer teaching and sourcing support through networking

Krishna is B.Ed, M.Phil and PHD in English literature. She has taught for several years at Junior and Senior College levels like Sophia for Women, St Xaviers College and SNDT Women’s College. She was an Assistant Director at an NGO named Sparrow and has been associated with the Angel Xpress Bandstand centre as an English teacher since its inception.

Role: Syllabus development and volunteer training.

Akhila is an educationist specializing in ‘Early Childhood Education’. A versatile teacher, she has worked extensively in curriculum development and teacher training. Akhila began her career managing pre-schools in Bangalore and is currently a full-time mother based out of Mumbai. Over the last few years, Akhila has successfully completed several assignments in the fields of consulting, curriculum development and teacher training for institutes like The Teacher Foundation, Kangaroo Kids, Freedom International School, People Pro and Kara. She trains our volunteers to maximise their time with kids. She also plans and standardizes syllabus to bring together what is being taught across our centres. She will soon supervise all periodic evaluations.

Mr R.N. Mukhija

Role: Advisor

Mr R.N. Mukhija’s experience with Corporate Sustainability Programs will be of invaluable help to #AXF as we chart our course, we look forward to his guidanceon our journey ahead. Mr. Mukhija is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. He was conferred with the prestigious “Distinguished Alumnus” of IIT award. He has also completed his 2-Tier Top Management program at IIM Ahmedabad.

Role: Syllabus development and volunteer training.

A Graphic Designer by profession, Meghna’s strengths include management, organisation and administration. For the avid reader, music lover, blogger, multi-crafter, environmentalist, candid photographer, story teller, Angel Xpress is one of the first NGOs where she is directly involved.

Graduated from NMIMS with a Master’s in Finance degree, Meenaal came back to her homeland after staying abroad for 12 years. Currently a stay-at-home to two children, Minal channels her passion of giving back to the community with Angel Xpress.

Role: Photography, support for strategic planning and most importantly entertainment projects for children.

Payal is a commerce graduate and an ex-advertising professional who has worked with CRM for over 13 years. She has made a successful shift to candid wedding photography since October 2011. At Angel Xpress, Payal primarily helps with fund raising, finding donors for the food rota as well as bringing sponsorships for entertainment related projects. She also contributes in communication ideation and strategies.

A chartered accountant and mother of two children aged 13 and 7, Debika has returned to India after being abroad for 13 years. She has worked with firms like KPMG and FCB Ulka in India and abroad. Debika believes that every child has a right to education in our country and have always wanted to help in every which way possible. She is being able to work on her dream in taking charge of the Angel Xpress Juhu afternoon batch and by also involving herself in fund raising activities by putting her social and corporate connects to use. This has been the most satisfying job for me so far Debika claims.

Role: Communications lead; ideation and strategic planning

With over 11 years of experience in advertising and communications, Gunjan is an independent copywriter and creative strategist across brands and business. At Angel Xpress Foundation, she uses her expertise to drive communication that impacts audiences and creates change. An English Graduate, Gunjan has completed her PG Diploma in Mass Communication from Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (now Mass Media), Pune.

Role: Networking and connections in the not-for-profit sector

Director with Kaizen Management Advisors Private Limited, Amit advises on education-focused private equity fund. He has often come forward to connect us with his network in the ‘for profit’ and ‘not for profit’ corporate segments.

@Amit Ratanpal

Sampada Chaudhari is an independent business consultant with 15 years of experience in advertising and business development in India’s leading agencies. With her strategic business skills she seeks to help develop Angel Xpress as a stronger brand, with wider reach and capacity to change. Sampada is a post graduate from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies with a specialisation in Marketing.
