Why start an AXF centre
AXF intends to start a wave of citizen-run centres that work for the welfare of first-generation underprivileged learners. By joining the wave, you can:
i) Help first-generation learners get a real opportunity for a better future
When you start a centre that teaches English, Math, Life skills and Values to Underprivileged children from your community, you become the source of educated and responsible citizens. Thanks to your contribution, they can escape the cycle of poverty, get access to better job opportunities and hope for a better quality of life.
ii) Gain new skills, knowledge, experience and a fresh perspective for yourself
Running an AXF Centre changes how you see the world. To keep abreast, you need to research about things, gain soft skills while working with a range of people, including students, teachers and also many official bodies, authorities and the like. This experience opens your mind to what is truly important, breaks stereotypes, hones your people skills and keeps you fulfilled.
iii) Make a difference in a very real and tangible sense of the word
You witness and experience the same magic and pride that a parent feels in seeing their child grow. Thus starting a centre is all about making a choice every day about the kind of community and world you want to live in, and actively playing a role in making it happen. It gives you the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than yourself and use your civic responsibility for the greater good.

Angel stories
I truly think that I was living in a bubble till I started working at AXF. I was required to work at an NGO over the summer of my first year at university. I chose AXF as it suited my limited time frame…
